How COTA approaches its responsibility to the industry, its people, and the environment — and the direction we are building toward.
We have a clear understanding of the role we play in the industrial ecosystem — and a genuine commitment to operating responsibly within it.
As a specialized laboratory and technical services company, our work sits at the intersection of quality, safety, and industrial efficiency. The services we provide help manufacturers reduce defects, avoid rework, extend component lifespan, and operate with greater precision — outcomes that carry real environmental and economic significance beyond our own operations.
We are at the beginning of a structured ESG journey. This page reflects where we are today and the direction we are committed to developing — with honesty, and without overstating what we haven’t yet formalized.
COTA’s activities connect with several of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We recognize these not as a marketing exercise, but as a framework for understanding where our work creates impact — and where we have the most opportunity to improve.

Through our technical training programs in ISO 16232 and VDA 19, we contribute to building specialized knowledge within the industrial workforce — strengthening the analytical and quality capabilities of engineers and laboratory professionals in Mexico and the United States.

We are a Mexican company that creates specialized, technical employment. We support our team's professional development and operate with the goal of building a stable, growing organization that generates long-term value for its people and the communities it serves.

Technical cleanliness is a discipline that directly supports manufacturing quality and industrial reliability. By helping manufacturers identify and control contamination, we contribute to more efficient, precise, and resilient industrial processes.

Our services support responsible production by helping manufacturers reduce defective parts, minimize rework, and improve first-pass quality — reducing material waste and resource consumption along the supply chain

Through our commercial representation agreements and long-term client relationships, we operate as a collaborative partner within the industrial ecosystem — sharing knowledge, supporting capability development, and contributing to a more technically capable supply chain.
Our Environmental Footprint and the Impact of What We Do
As a laboratory and technical services operation, COTA’s direct environmental footprint is relatively contained — we do not operate heavy manufacturing processes or generate significant industrial waste. Our primary environmental considerations involve laboratory solvent management, controlled disposal of consumables and filtration materials, and energy use within our Querétaro facility.
